This competition, which aims to foster an appreciation for flamenco in general and guitar in particular among younger generations, will feature guitarists under the age of 30 from various Spanish provinces, including Alicante, Málaga, Granada, Badajoz, Seville, Córdoba, Zaragoza, Madrid, Almería, La Rioja, and the Jaén town of Navas de San Juan.

The semifinal rounds are scheduled for May 6 and 7, at 8:00 PM, in the chapel of the Arab Baths of the Diputación de Jaén, with free admission until full capacity is reached. The grand final will also take place at these facilities, featuring three finalists and presented by a journalist.

Contestants must perform pieces from various flamenco styles, divided into two groups according to the competition rules. The first group includes palos such as soleá, bulerías, alegrías, tangos, seguiriyas, soleá por bulerías, guajira, farruca, serranas, zambras, and zapateado. The second group covers malagueñas, granaínas, tarantas, mineras, and rondeñas.

The competition offers a total of 6,000 euros in prizes, positioning it as one of the most significant calls for young flamenco guitarists nationwide. After the final, the public will enjoy a concert by a renowned guitarist, considered a leading figure of his generation and multiple award-winner, including the First Prize of the National Flamenco Guitar Competition of the Diputación de Jaén in 2003 and the Bordón Minero of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas de La Unión in 2004.
