Organized by the Association of N Scale Railway Modelers (AMFEN), this event will take place at the Andalucía Pavilion of the San José Sports Park on April 25 and 26, 2026. This edition gains a strong international character with the confirmed participation of modelers from Portugal, who will join groups from Madrid, Bilbao, Alicante, Cuenca, and several Andalusian towns.
One of the main objectives of the organization is the creation of an impressive large-scale model railway, projected to reach 150 meters in length. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire a wide variety of trains, from historic steam locomotives with wooden carriages to modern high-speed trains (AVE), as well as convoys from European and other international operators.
The impact of this meeting will extend beyond the exhibition, as between 60 and 80 people, including modelers and their families, are expected to stay overnight in the city. Complementary cultural visits have been scheduled for them, enriching their stay in Linares.
The installation of the model railway will begin on Friday, April 24, from noon. Public opening hours will be Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 to 20:30, and Sunday, April 26, from 10:00 to 14:00. Throughout the event, members of the participating groups will be available to answer questions and share knowledge about the fascinating world of railways.
A module is a section of a model railway that integrates tracks from end to end. Its full functionality is achieved by mechanically and electrically connecting with other modules, facilitating the collaborative creation of extensive railway routes. Linares, along with Huelva, stands out as one of the few Andalusian cities that has managed to consolidate the celebration of these national meetings, aiming to promote the hobby of modeling and highlight the historical importance of railways in social and industrial development.
