The head of the Provincial Council of Jaén, Paco Reyes, personally extended his congratulations to the Tecnigen Linares table tennis club and the Jaén Paraíso Interior FS basketball team for their respective category promotions. The table tennis club ascends to the Superliga, while the basketball team moves up to Segunda FEB.
In separate meetings held at the Provincial Palace, Reyes, accompanied by councillor Javier Perales, emphasized the effort and commitment of the players, coaches, and management. Regarding Tecnigen Linares, he highlighted the joy of reaching the top tier of Spanish table tennis, regaining the category lost a year prior. He also underscored the role of the 'Jaén Paraíso Interior' brand, sponsored by the Council, as a tool for provincial promotion.
“"A year after their relegation, they have regained the category that this club deserves for its effort, its work, its commitment, and for the passion that table tennis has in Linares."
The meeting with the table tennis club included the president of the Andalusian Table Tennis Federation, Esteban Rodríguez, the club's vice-president, José Robles, and players Israel Rodríguez, Ángel Rodríguez, and Carlos Caballero. The latter, as team captain, reviewed a perfect season with 25 wins out of 25 matches and set the goal for the next campaign as maintaining their league status, while also aspiring to play in Europe, similar to the women's team.
Subsequently, Reyes met with the management, coaching staff, and players of Jaén Paraíso Interior FS Basketball, alongside the deputy general director of Caja Rural de Jaén, Álvaro Martínez. The provincial president stated that 'Jaén is in vogue' and congratulated the club on their 'double' promotion, emphasizing the importance of promoting the 'Jaén Paraíso Interior' brand.

[...] we have had the opportunity to congratulate them on this double achievement and also on their basketball section which has been promoted to Segunda FEB, which is good news for provincial basketball and will serve to continue highlighting the Jaén Paraíso Interior brand from a promotional perspective."
Álvaro Martínez, from Caja Rural de Jaén, justified the financial institution's support by the values transmitted through sports, describing the successes as 'positive for the province because it energizes it'.
The president of the basketball club, Germán Aguayo, recalled that the section was created three seasons ago and, after much hard work and the support of sponsors like the Provincial Council and Caja Rural de Jaén, a promotion 'to remember' has been achieved.
