The Department of Urban Maintenance of Jaén City Council is using its own resources and municipal staff to intervene in Bulevar Park. The work focuses on restoring the base of the well-known dome fountain and adjacent walls, as well as repairing and painting the railing of the walkway connecting to the park's viewpoint.
The responsible councilor, Javier Padorno, visited the Maintenance teams and the reinforcement painting staff hired for the summer season. Padorno explained that the goal is to "remove the tags and graffiti that were all over this area and thus restore the whiteness and splendor it should have so that the residents of our city can walk through this beautiful part of the city of Jaén".
These maintenance tasks are complemented by previous actions in children's play areas and the agility course, where damaged furniture has been replaced. The City Council plans to continue with these interventions, addressing both its own initiatives and citizen demands.
Furthermore, the path surrounding the park will be included in the city's asphalting plan. As Padorno recalled, this project, which also includes surrounding roads like Paseo de España, is scheduled to be undertaken in the autumn and represents a historic improvement in urban paving.
