After four lost finals, the Jaén team finally managed to lift the trophy on their fifth attempt. The match, held in Cáceres, was marked by emotion, goals, and a comeback that culminated in Jaén Paraíso Interior's victory.
João Salla opened the scoring for Jaén with a backheel goal, but Motta equalized for Jimbee Cartagena with a direct free-kick. The Cartagena team took the lead with a goal from Chispi, but Salla reappeared before halftime to level the score (2-2).
In the second half, Jimbee Cartagena went ahead again with a goal from Tomaz (3-2). However, an unfortunate own goal following a shot from Cortés brought the score back to a draw (3-3).
The expulsion of Darío Gil for two yellow cards left Jimbee Cartagena with numerical disadvantage. Dani Zurdo and Mati Rosa sealed the match for Jaén Paraíso Interior, completing the comeback with the final 3-5 score.
With this triumph, Jaén Paraíso Interior adds its first Copa del Rey to the four Copas de España they already possess, definitively breaking a historical curse.
