The competition, held on the Las Erillas circuit, awarded a total of seven medals to local athletes, six in individual classifications and one in the team competition. The day began at ten in the morning with the older age categories and the M55 athletes.
In the categories of 70 years and older, Francisco Aragón revalidated his Spanish M70 champion title, while Román Morales repeated the second position. In F70, M.ª Jesús Cano took the victory. Jesús M. Ayanz also repeated his championship in M75, and Pepa Sánchez won in F75. Antonio Postigo secured first place in M80. In the M55 category, Ignacio Morón was crowned champion after completing the 5,500-meter course.
Subsequently, the M60, F60, M65, and F65 categories competed on the circuit. The titles went to Silvino E. López (M60), María Nicolás (F60), Francisco García (M65), and Marcelina Hernáiz (F65), all repeating victories from the previous edition.
The women's participation continued with the F45, F50, and F55 categories. Ana B. Bernalte achieved victory in F45. In F50, Natalia Alcón took the gold, beating Inmaculada Toledo by four seconds. María López repeated her championship in F55.
In the men's categories, the M50 category saw great parity, with Carlos Outón taking the win by a narrow margin over Manuel López and Javier Díaz. Jesús Montejano was crowned champion in M45, followed by Pablo Villalobos and Daniel Sanz. In M40, José M. Cortés defeated Mario Molina. The M35 men's category concluded with the victory of Lehsen Sidahmed.
The F35 and F40 women's categories presented a unique situation. The Spanish F40 championship went to Esther Ramos, who revalidated her 2025 title, despite the first athlete crossing the finish line being a foreign runner competing out of the official contest. In F35, Tamara Pérez was crowned champion, while Lola Chiclana, third Spaniard, contributed to her club's result.
In the club standings, Vino Toro Caja Rural stood out with three championships (M60, M65, and M45). Atletismo Maracena and Trops-Cueva de Nerja each secured two titles, winning in M55 and F50, and M35 and F40 respectively. Other winning clubs included CA Saturno Daimiel (M50), CD Surco Luce (M40), Trotasierra Hornachuelos (F45), and Running Pinto Seoane-Pampín (F35).
The day concluded with the mixed relays, where Trops-Cueva de Nerja (35-44 years), Trotasierra Hornachuelos (45-54 years), and Inficant-Villa de Noja (55 years and over) took home the titles.
The competition was marked by a wide variety of clubs in the medal table, with up to 44 different teams. In the overall medal count, Trops-Cueva de Nerja and Atletismo Maracena tied with nine medals each. Vino Toro Caja Rural ranked second in titles and third in total medals.
The master season will continue in two weeks in Palafrugell, featuring combined events and throwing pentathlon.
