Yesterday afternoon, an event at the University of Jaén library caused concern among students. A young woman alerted security staff, accusing a man of allegedly taking photos of her from under a table.
Security personnel immediately activated the institution's established protocol for such situations. The National Police arrived at the scene and took the individual to police facilities for identification.
The incident led to the temporary evacuation of the library while officers searched for the subject's mobile phone, which was later found. The police investigation is now focused on determining the device's content to ascertain if compromising images exist, although there is no judicial resolution at this time.
The university has emphasized that the protocols for handling such incidents functioned correctly, although the event has generated unease within the campus student community.
