The six Official Language Schools (EOI) in the Province of Jaén are offering a total of 4,850 places for the upcoming 2026/27 academic year. Interested individuals can choose to study seven different languages: German, French, English, Italian, Chinese, and Spanish as a foreign language.
These programs allow students to obtain official certifications recognized by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The minimum age for admission is 16 years old in the year studies begin. However, access is possible from 14 years of age if the desired language is different from the first foreign language studied in ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education).
The EOI s provide various teaching modalities, including in-person, blended, and distance learning, to accommodate students' needs. Additionally, Language Update, Improvement, and Specialization Courses (CAPE) are offered, targeting professionals and adults with specific language learning requirements at Basic A1, Basic A2, Intermediate B1, Intermediate B2, Advanced C1, and Advanced C2 levels.
The enrollment process can be completed online through the Virtual Secretariat of the educational centers or in person at the schools themselves. All relevant information and regulations are available on the Junta de Andalucía's Enrollment Portal.
The application deadline is May 20. Ranked lists of applicants will be published before June 10, and lists of admitted and non-admitted individuals on June 24. Those who secure a place must formalize their enrollment between July 1 and July 10, preferably through the Virtual Secretariat.
