During a recent plenary session, the Alcalá la Real council approved the file for contracting the concession of the bus station restaurant. This measure, considered fundamental, seeks to restore a service long requested by citizens.
Jesús Aguilar, the Councillor for Contracting, highlighted the complexity of the process due to the numerous procedures required since the previous contract ended. He emphasized that this action represents a crucial step forward for the locality.
“"It is a decisive step to recover a service highly demanded by the citizenry."
The establishment, a cafeteria-restaurant, is strategically located at the confluence of several main avenues, near commercial and sports areas, and facilities such as the Alcalá Sur health center and the recently renovated Donantes de Sangre square.
The concession will have an initial duration of ten years, with the possibility of an extension of up to four additional years. The starting monthly fee has been set at 1,004 euros, a figure that bidders can improve upwards. The tender document establishes two blocks of award criteria: an automatic one, totaling up to 60 points (45 for the economic offer and 15 for equipment improvements), and another subject to value judgment, with a maximum of 40 points, focused on the management project.
Among the obligations of the successful bidder are a minimum opening of six days a week, including weekends and holidays, as well as offering a daily menu and a varied à la carte selection. The installation of an outdoor terrace will be subject to current municipal regulations.
The tender announcement will be published on the contractor's profile, opening a period of 25 calendar days for submitting offers. Interested companies will have the opportunity to visit the facilities beforehand. In other news, the mayor reported on the resignation of Pedro Cervera Cervera, the district mayor of Venta de Agramaderos, after 39 years in office, who will be replaced by Rafaela Gutiérrez Serrano, congratulated by the Corporation.
