Real Jaén CF has announced the one-season renewal of Adri Paz, one of the players most identified with the club, who will compete next season in Primera RFEF.
The midfielder will thus complete his fifth consecutive season with the club from the capital of Jaén. The recently concluded season was not easy for the player due to an injury to the outer meniscus of his right knee, which required surgery. Despite this, Adri Paz returned and played 25 matches, scoring three goals and providing five assists.
Among his most notable contributions are the pass that set up Breñé for the winning goal against Yeclano and a corner kick that Carrillo headed in against Atlético Baleares.
“
"I include him in the group of important footballers in the final stretch, and he had a spectacular playoff, demonstrating that against teams that defend with many players in their own half, he always finds that pass that breaks lines. He has great vision of the game, makes the team generate advantageous situations, and I believe he will be an important player in Primera RFEF due to his magic and quality."
“
"I have never seen myself defending colors other than those of the team of my life, and I am very happy to continue for another year. Last season I went through complicated moments, but it was precisely that passion for Real Jaén CF that helped me return and enjoy promotion for the second consecutive year."
With this renewal, Adri Paz faces a personal challenge, as he has accumulated 167 official matches in the white jersey and has the opportunity to climb the club's historical ranking, surpassing legends like Íñigo Ros (169), José Bermúdez (171), Santi Villa (173), or Óscar Quesada (174), and approaching Fran Machado's 189.
