The program, running from April 22 to May 30, is designed to bring the world of books and reading closer to a wide audience. Among the most notable proposals is the exhibition From Paper to E-book: A Visual Journey Through Documentary Supports, which will be available at the Central Library.
This exhibition offers a journey through the historical evolution of books and other documentary supports, revealing how each format has influenced the way information is read, heard, and shared over time. Additionally, the Library has prepared the bibliographic selection 50 Years of the Cervantes Prize: A Celebration of Literature in Spanish, also at the Central Library during the same period, paying tribute to the recipients of this prestigious award.
In addition to the exhibitions, a participatory activity called Let a Book Choose You will take place on April 23 at the Paulo Freire Lecture Hall. This initiative invites attendees to discover new readings in an original way, selecting books without knowing their cover or author beforehand.
On the solidarity front, the Charity Book Market, organized by the Ayre Solidario Association, will be held on April 22 and 23. This event, located at the glass entrance to the Central Library, will allow books to have a second life while supporting charitable causes.
With these activities, the University of Huelva Library reaffirms its commitment as a key space for cultural revitalization and the promotion of reading, offering inclusive and accessible proposals for all audiences in the celebration of Book Day.
