The capital of Huelva is preparing to welcome its Rocío brotherhoods, Huelva and Emigrantes, this Wednesday, May 27th, after nearly a week of celebration in the Rocío village. Hundreds of people are expected to accompany both branches as they enter the city, on a day marked by a festive atmosphere and reunions.
The Huelva Brotherhood is scheduled to arrive at Punta del Sebo around 5:45 PM, a symbolic entry point into the city. Later, it will reach Plaza del Punto at approximately 7:45 PM and the Marismas del Odiel crossing around 9:15 PM, before entering its chapel around 9:30 PM. The route will include emblematic locations in the capital.
Meanwhile, the Emigrantes Brotherhood will begin its entry later, arriving at Avenida Guatemala around 7:00 PM and its brotherhood house around 8:30 PM.
Other brotherhoods such as those from Moguer, San Juan del Puerto, Trigueros, Gibraleón, Palos de la Frontera, Cartaya, Valverde del Camino, Punta Umbría, and Isla Cristina will also return this Wednesday. The return of Punta Umbría and Isla Cristina will extend into Thursday, May 28th.
The Port of Huelva has reported traffic disruptions on Avenida Hispanoamérica and Avenida Francisco Montenegro until Thursday, May 28th. The passage of the Cartaya branch will affect vehicular traffic from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Between 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM, the entry of the Emigrantes and Huelva brotherhoods is expected, which will involve a significant diversion: traffic will be rerouted via the H-30 at the Punta del Sebo roundabout, with Avenida Francisco Montenegro closed in the direction of the capital.
Finally, the passage of the Punta Umbría Brotherhood will conclude the operation on Thursday, May 28th, with closures expected from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes.
