The Council of Brotherhoods of Huelva, with the support of the Port of Huelva, has announced its first photography contest for Holy Week 2026, inviting both amateurs and professionals to capture the essence of this celebration.

This initiative seeks to highlight the significance of Holy Week 2026, which is anticipated to be a special edition as it will allow all brotherhoods to parade, something that has not been possible in previous years due to adverse weather conditions.
The competition is open to anyone, without age limits or the need to be a professional, aiming to gather diverse perspectives on one of the city's most representative celebrations. Each participant may submit a single image reflecting a significant moment of Huelva's Holy Week.
Those interested in participating must send their photograph along with their contact details to the email address provided by the organization. The deadline for registration is April 29 at 3:00 PM. The goal is to encourage creativity and recognize the talent of both amateur and experienced photographers.

"It is essential to promote initiatives that contribute to disseminating and preserving the cultural and emotional heritage of the city."

A jury comprising members of the Council and photography professionals will select the winning images, which will later be part of an exhibition at the entity's headquarters. These photographs will serve as a visual testimony of a particularly relevant Holy Week for the city.
With this contest, the Council of Brotherhoods strengthens its commitment to bring Holy Week closer to the public through new forms of participation, consolidating its role as a pillar of local identity and promoting the involvement of Huelva's residents in preserving their traditions.
