The Local Government Board approved the transfer of a municipal plot to the Costa de la Luz Neighbors Cooperative. This neighborhood entity will be responsible for the future management of the infrastructure, which will feature 68 spaces and will be located next to the Quirón Hospital.
Felipe Arias, Deputy Mayor for Urban Planning and Environment, highlighted that the initiative responds to a citizen request and seeks to address the inconveniences presented by the plot, such as the presence of illegal street vendors, waste accumulation, and unsanitary conditions, which affected safety and coexistence in the area.
The project, initiated following the cooperative's request, includes a design that integrates into the urban environment, with environmental and architectural quality criteria. Municipal technical reports support the plan's viability, considering it a complementary use compatible with current urban planning and not exhausting the plot's buildable capacity. The proposal also incorporates measures for landscape integration and reduction of thermal impact, with its execution pending the necessary environmental qualifications.
