The program, aimed at promoting physical and recreational activities among schoolchildren, has covered different disciplines and categories throughout the year.
In rhythmic gymnastics, nearly 650 young athletes from over 200 provincial club teams competed across categories from pre-benjamin to junior. Three preliminary phases were held in Almonte, Punta Umbría, and Aracena, followed by final events in Hinojos and Almonte.
The preliminary phases saw 193 gymnasts from the Condado area, 244 from the Costa, and 197 from the Sierra region. Subsequently, the final phase included 155 gymnasts in Hinojos and 220 in Almonte, covering various age groups.
Meanwhile, swimming events gathered approximately three hundred participants across four gatherings held in Aracena, Bollullos par de Condado, Palos de la Frontera, and Cartaya, with participation from various clubs and sports schools.
The Huelva Provincial Council's Sports Service promotes these activities with the aim of fostering healthy leisure, maximizing participation, and providing formative and recreational experiences, regardless of the young participants' physical or technical abilities.
Among the objectives of these initiatives are improving prevention and health, promoting the values of sports practice, and using sport as a tool for territorial cohesion and tourism promotion.
