The announcement was made during the IV Mayors' Council, held at the Ayamonte Congress and Exhibition Palace. This measure aims to facilitate the mobilization of over 63 million euros in European funds across 63 municipalities in the province, ensuring that no project is halted due to a lack of local financial resources.
During the meeting, municipal representatives reviewed the progress of various provincial programs, such as Tu Diputación Actúa and Tu Diputación Invierte, both endowed with 23 million euros. Additionally, new strategic lines for the rehabilitation of religious buildings and casinos were discussed, alongside the implementation of a Green Infrastructure Plan developed in collaboration with the University of Seville to address climate change effects.
“"No project can be left undone due to a lack of financial resources in any of our municipalities."
The session also served to coordinate the humanitarian response to the earthquake that occurred in Venezuela. Through the Humanitarian Aid Table, collaboration channels have been established to allow municipalities to channel their support in a coordinated and effective manner in the face of this international emergency.
