Following several weeks where sunshine was the main feature, leading many residents of Huelva to enjoy an early taste of summer, the climate in the region has undergone a significant change. The bustling terraces and strolls under unseasonably warm weather will give way to a cooler and wetter environment, with rainfall expected throughout the week.
This Tuesday, the Sierra de Huelva area woke up under a yellow alert from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) due to strong wind gusts. South-easterly winds are expected to reach up to 70 kilometers per hour at times. Although the alert, valid until 6:00 PM, does not pose a significant meteorological risk to the general population, it could affect specific activities or vulnerable locations. For now, Aemet has not issued any alerts for Wednesday.
Despite the absence of alerts for Wednesday, the probability of rain will remain high, with a 100% chance during the morning, decreasing to 40% in the afternoon. The day is expected to start very cloudy with a risk of thunderstorms, which will subside as the day progresses, leaving overcast skies. Maximum temperatures will not exceed 18 degrees Celsius, and minimums could drop to 8 degrees Celsius. Moderate south-easterly wind gusts will persist throughout the day.
For Thursday, the likelihood of rain will continue to be significant, with a 90% chance and very cloudy skies. Rainfall is expected to decrease in the afternoon. The wind will continue to blow, albeit with less intensity, and maximum temperatures could rise to 23 degrees Celsius, while minimums will remain at 8 degrees Celsius.
On Friday, precipitation will remain constant throughout the day, with a 65% probability according to Aemet, although less intense rainfall is expected. Temperatures will fluctuate between a maximum of 20 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 10 degrees Celsius. For the start of the weekend, maximums could see a slight increase, reaching 24 degrees Celsius, though the probability of rain for Saturday will be 75%, dropping to just 35% on Sunday. Moderate north-easterly wind gusts will also remain constant.
