Those interested in participating in the competition have until May 9th to formalize their registration. This can be done via email at cultura@huelva.es, through the city council's website, or in person at the offices of the Culture Area, located in the Pabellón de Poniente of Casa Colón. In-person registration hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The contest is open to individuals aged 16 and over, as well as to entities and collectives, in the categories of street altars and balconies. If an individual represents a group not formally constituted as an association, they will be considered the responsible party for the registration and, in case of a prize, the recipient of the amount.
Two prizes are awarded for each category. In the altars category, the first prize is 1,000 euros and a diploma, while the second receives 500 euros and a diploma. For balconies, the first prize is endowed with 500 euros and a diploma, and the second with 300 euros and a diploma.
The competition process is divided into two phases: a first phase, where the jury will visit the registered altars and balconies, and a second phase, dedicated to deliberation and the announcement of the verdict. The jury will assess the artistic quality of the ephemeral installations and the preservation of traditional elements in the ornamentation, requiring all creations to contain explicit liturgical references to the Corpus Christi festivity.
