The province of Huelva is set to host a unique cultural event: a castanet recital that will blend local folklore with classical music, performed by the Marzaga de Mazagón and Eulalia Ruiz de Clavijo de Moguer Castanet Choirs at Cocheras del Puerto.

On Thursday, April 23, at 8:30 PM, the scenic venue of Cocheras del Puerto de Huelva will host a distinctive castanet recital. Under the direction of Miguel Ángel Pacheco, the Marzaga de Mazagón and Eulalia Ruiz de Clavijo de Moguer Castanet Choirs will present a cultural proposal that highlights the richness of this traditional instrument.
The concert program promises a diverse musical experience, ranging from local folklore to compositions by universal masters such as Albéniz, Strauss, Mozart, and Vivaldi. This selection will allow the audience to appreciate both the vibrant rhythm of castanets in traditional music and their surprising adaptability to classical pieces of considerable complexity.
This initiative is supported by the Port Authority of Huelva and the Palos de la Frontera City Council. Admission to the recital is free, although an invitation is required. These invitations can be collected at the headquarters of the Marzaga Women's Association in Mazagón and will be distributed until capacity is reached, so it is advisable to pick them up in advance to ensure attendance at this cultural event.
