During a visit to a livestock farm in Loja, the leading candidate for the Popular Party in Granada for the May 17 elections, highlighted the "firm commitment" of the regional president to the farmers and ranchers of the province. It was assured that the sector now has a government that "listens, accompanies, and works to offer solutions to the great challenges of our province's countryside."
At the meeting, the candidate emphasized that the regional president has placed the primary sector at the center of his policies. This has resulted in "direct aid, support for farm modernization, promotion of generational replacement, and administrative simplification to reduce bureaucratic hurdles." It was stressed that farmers and ranchers need "stability, support, and confidence to continue generating employment and wealth in our towns."
“"Against noise and confrontation, the regional president listens to the sector and works closely with farmers, ranchers, and cooperatives."
Furthermore, the Andalusian Government's commitment to the competitiveness of the Andalusian primary sector was highlighted, advocating for a fairer CAP and supporting modernization as a key tool to ensure more profitable and sustainable farms. The candidate reiterated that "the future of many inland municipalities in Granada depends on continuing to strengthen our countryside."
Aid aimed at fostering generational replacement was also mentioned, facilitating young farmers and ranchers to develop their projects. The goal is for "our youth to see the countryside as a future opportunity to undertake in their land."
The provincial president of the Popular Party of Granada added that the Granadan countryside requires a government close to those who work daily on their farms, in contrast to administrations "detached from the reality of the rural world." He argued that the regional president "has demonstrated with actions his commitment to farmers and ranchers, betting on water, modernization, and support for farms against those who only generate uncertainty and more bureaucracy."
