Those interested in participating in the quintilla contest for Granada's Corpus Christi celebrations have until April 24 to submit their creations. The quintillas must focus on current events from the past year, adopting a humorous and critical approach, characteristic of the local “malafollá” wit.
The competition is open to all individuals, with no limit on the number of quintillas that can be submitted. Each entry must be presented on folio-sized paper, including the contestant's personal details (name, surname, NIF, address, and telephone number). Submissions can be made at the City Council's registries, located in Plaza del Carmen and the Los Mondragones Administrative Complex, as well as at the offices of the Municipal District Boards or via the electronic headquarters.
A jury will select the 20 most outstanding quintillas, each of which will be awarded 100 euros. From these, one overall winner will be chosen to receive an additional 100 euros. The selected quintillas, once illustrated with the traditional carocas (drawings), will be displayed in Plaza BibRambla and will become municipal property.
