The PSOE candidate for Granada in the 2026 Andalusian elections, Olga Manzano, has expressed confidence in turning around the polls, appealing to public "anger and indignation" over the "deterioration" of public services in Andalusia.

In an interview, the socialist representative highlighted the importance of defending public services, especially healthcare, as a central pillar of her campaign. She noted that the "Public Health Rescue Plan" is the most powerful measure in her party's electoral program, proposing an annual injection of 3 billion euros and the hiring of 18,000 professionals to eliminate waiting lists.

"There is a lot of anger and indignation, which is why I believe we can turn the polls around."

She also expressed concern about gender-based violence, advocating for the creation of a specific ministry for equality between men and women and feminism. This initiative, according to the candidate, would not only address the current situation but also seek to raise public awareness of the seriousness of the problem.
Regarding Granada, the candidate emphasized the need to leverage the province's potential by promoting the "City of Knowledge" and the "City of Science." She described the particle accelerator as a vital project for improving well-being and creating qualified employment, linked to the University of Granada.
Concerning the opposition, she described as "frustrating" the situation of presenting initiatives to the Andalusian Parliament that are rejected by the absolute majority, despite their social relevance. She insisted that Andalusia has not shifted to the right, and that discontent over the impoverishment of the middle and working classes will be key to change in the upcoming elections.
