A 64-year-old man required medical assistance for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in the kitchen of his home in Salobreña, Granada, on Monday night.

The incident occurred in a second-floor apartment on Doctor Fleming Street. The 112 Andalucía emergency service received the call around 9:25 PM on Monday, reporting the fire and the presence of an elderly man inside the property.
Following the alert, the coordinating center dispatched the Motril Fire Department, the 061 Health Emergency Center, the Guardia Civil, and the Local Police, who promptly arrived at the scene.
Emergency personnel confirmed that the fire originated in a frying pan, causing material damage to the kitchen and affecting an adjacent room with smoke. Firefighters ventilated and cooled the residence to secure the area.
The homeowner was taken by medical services to the Salobreña Primary Care Center, where he was treated for smoke inhalation. Fortunately, it was not necessary to evacuate the three-story building.
