The seismic event, strongly felt in numerous areas, prompted many residents to take to the streets. The tremor's effects were registered in up to 456 towns across 11 provinces, according to data from the National Geographic Institute (IGN).
Social media immediately echoed the incident, with hundreds of users sharing images of facades with cracks, damaged walls, and fallen cornices in various parts of the city.

Following the main event, more than thirty minor aftershocks occurred. The epicenters of these aftershocks were primarily located among the towns of La Zubia, Gójar, Dílar, Ogíjares, Alhendín, Otura, Armilla, and Churriana de la Vega.
The most significant aftershock took place at 6:34 AM, reaching a magnitude of 3.3 with its epicenter in Gójar.
