The Andalusian forest fire prevention and extinction service, Infoca, has reported the extinction of the fire that broke out in the Cañada del Francés area of Moraleda de Zafayona. The alert was received at 5:14 PM, triggering an operation involving aerial and ground resources.
Concurrently, Infoca has managed to control a second fire that originated in the Abadía del Sacromonte, a site of significant landscape value on the eastern outskirts of the Granada capital. This second fire was reported at 5:40 PM.
Firefighting crews are continuing to work on the ground to fully extinguish and liquidate any remaining hotspots in both incidents, ensuring no risk of reignition.
