The initiative, driven by the Asociación Cultural Miga and part of the Andalusian Program for Art and Education from the ministries of Culture and Sport and Educational Development and Vocational Training, aims to bring art and culture closer to students through creative and participatory experiences.
The 'Territorio Animado' project invites Secondary Education students to reinterpret their surroundings through audiovisual art and artificial intelligence, as highlighted by the Junta de Andalucía.
Through heritage research, territory exploration, and technological experimentation, students, teachers, and artists have created animated digital works, transforming spaces and memories into new visual narratives.
Students visited heritage sites in the city, recorded images, developed stories, and produced their own audiovisual pieces, combining techniques such as recordings, scriptwriting, visual references, and generative artificial intelligence tools, with collaboration from Estudio Item Media and digital artist VanTa.
A central focus has been the critical and creative use of artificial intelligence as an expressive tool, fostering reflection on the creation and circulation of images in contemporary society.
The experience sought to develop critical thinking, digital literacy, and collaborative work, connecting human creativity with the possibilities offered by new technologies.
The final result, presented last Friday, is a collective video installation featuring the students' creations. The project will leave educational materials and a documentary video about the year's work at the center.
