The speed control device, located at kilometer 256 of the A-92, positions itself as one of the most active in the autonomous community. According to a study by Automovilistas Europeos Asociados (AEA), this Granada radar ranks seventh in the Andalusian list of speed cameras with the most sanctions, surpassing others located in provinces such as Córdoba, Málaga, or Sevilla.
The figure of 23,447 fines places it among the eleven speed cameras that registered the most infractions in Andalusia last year. The AEA list details that radars in Málaga and Cádiz occupy the top positions, but the one in Granada stands out as the only one from the province among the highest sanctioning.
Fines for exceeding speed limits can incur economic penalties ranging from 100 to 600 euros, in addition to the withdrawal of points from the driving license, which can range from two to six points, depending on the severity of the infraction.
This data highlights the importance of paying attention to speed limits on the A-92 as it passes through Huétor Santillán, a particularly active speed control point on the Andalusian road network.
