The Councillor for Commerce, Elisa Campoy, emphasized that the event is an invitation to "experience the city through commerce, to stroll, to discover our establishments, and to understand that local commerce is part of Granada's identity and daily life."
One of the main attractions will be the artistic decoration of shop windows, in which 42 businesses will participate. Second-year Illustration students from the Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño José Val del Omar will contribute their creative proposals to transform the facades of the establishments.
Additionally, two theatrical routes titled El Mercader de Sedas will be offered, touring emblematic central locations such as Plaza del Carmen, Bib-Rambla, Pasiegas, La Alcaicería, Corral del Carbón, and Plaza del Padre Suárez. These routes, lasting approximately two hours, will take place at 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM, set in 16th-century Granada and explaining the role of silk in the city.
The day will also include live flamenco performances, held from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM in Plaza Bib-Rambla, Plaza de la Trinidad, and Calle San Antón. A contest promoted by the Centro Comercial Abierto will complete the program, rewarding the creativity of the shop windows and social media participation.
