“"The cultural future of Granada necessarily involves citizen participation and the involvement of new generations in the artistic life of our city. Festikids precisely represents this idea of shared, open, and educational culture, where the youngest are not just spectators, but active protagonists of a project that unites learning, creativity, and cultural heritage."

The city of Granada has officially presented the Festikids Gala 2026, an initiative that aims to foster children's talent and creativity, and which this year will pay tribute to the composer Manuel de Falla on the 150th anniversary of his birth.
The event, promoted by a local organizer and sponsored by the Unicaja Foundation, will once again focus on the participation of children. The presentation featured a performance by the Children's Choir of the Colegio de las Mercedarias, which added an artistic and emotional touch to the gathering.
During the appearance, representatives from the Granada City Council, the Unicaja Foundation, the Andalusian Government's Education Delegation, and the Granada Provincial Council emphasized the importance of collaboration between public institutions, private entities, and educational centers. The goal is to promote cultural and educational initiatives that foster values such as creativity, coexistence, and the development of young talent.
The Festikids Gala, celebrating its seventh edition, will take place on May 14 at 11:30 AM at the Federico García Lorca Center. This venue will host the awards ceremony for this year's honorees. As a new feature, popular music and flamenco will be incorporated to highlight the Andalusian musical roots, aiming to transform the classroom into a space where students are the protagonists.
The project has experienced significant growth in recent years, consolidating itself as an educational and cultural benchmark within the Early Music Festival, thanks to institutional backing and the continuous support of the Unicaja Foundation and the Granada Provincial Council. This territorial expansion will allow pedagogical activities to reach various municipalities in the province, such as Fuente Vaqueros, Albuñol, and Huéscar.
