Testimonies collected on social media and messaging groups reflect the surprise of Sevillians. "It woke me up suddenly," recounted a resident, who initially thought her bed was moving due to someone's presence in the room.
Other residents of Sevilla capital and Sevilla Este confirmed feeling the tremor around 1:05 AM, coinciding with the Granada epicenter.

The 112 Emergency Service of Andalusia managed over 200 calls related to the seismic event, receiving alerts from all Andalusian provinces except Cádiz and Huelva, although the majority came from Granada.
The main earthquake, magnitude 5, occurred shortly after 1:04 AM, following several tremors recorded on Friday afternoon, August 14, in the Metropolitan Area of Granada. The movement was perceived in distant locations such as Sevilla, towns in Levante, and Madrid.
The Minister of Presidency, Health, and Emergencies, Antonio Sanz, activated the Emergency Plan for Seismic Risk in Andalusia in an emergency phase. To date, no personal injuries have been reported.
The activation of the plan allows for enhanced monitoring and coordination of necessary resources for the situation.
