The Junta de Andalucía has proclaimed in Granada its firm commitment to defending LGTBI+ rights and promoting a more inclusive society.

At an institutional event held in Granada for International LGTBI Pride Day, the Junta de Andalucía read a manifesto reaffirming its "firm commitment and determination in the defense of freedom, equality, justice, and the dignity of all people." The declaration emphasizes efforts to create a "more inclusive, diverse, and respectful society."
The manifesto also highlighted that "expressions of LGTBIphobia still occur today" in various spheres, such as "families, social relationships, educational centers, work environments, public spaces, and leisure venues," labeling these incidents as "intolerable."
However, progress in Andalusia has been noted in promoting "LGTBIphobia-Free Spaces," which now include "more than 130 entities and institutions" offering environments of "peace, diversity, and freedom" for LGTBI individuals.
The Government delegate, Antonio Granados, accompanied by the delegate for Social Inclusion, Matilde Ortiz, presided over the event. Granados stated that Andalusia "continues to advance in strengthening public policies aimed at real equality, diversity, and non-discrimination," mentioning the consolidation of "specific administrative structures" and "regional strategies for equal treatment."
The delegate also pointed to the promotion of "training and awareness-raising actions" for public administration personnel, support for social entities, and the creation of "safe and LGTBIphobia-free spaces" throughout the autonomous community.

"Andalusia continues to advance in strengthening public policies aimed at real equality, diversity, and non-discrimination."
