A 64-year-old man suffered smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in the kitchen of his home in Salobreña, Granada, on Monday night, requiring medical assistance.

The incident occurred around 9:30 PM in an apartment on Doctor Fleming Street, when an emergency call to the 112 service reported a fire on the second floor with an elderly person inside. Emergency services, including Motril Firefighters, the 061 Health Emergency Center, the Civil Guard, and the Local Police, were immediately dispatched.
According to reports from the deployed teams, the fire originated in a frying pan, causing significant damage to the kitchen and affecting an adjacent room with smoke. The swift action of the firefighters was crucial in ventilating and cooling the residence, preventing the flames from spreading to other areas of the property.
The homeowner was transported by medical services to the Salobreña Primary Care Center, where he received treatment for smoke inhalation. Fortunately, it was not necessary to evacuate the three-story building.
