The forest fire in Niebla (Huelva) has been stabilized, permitting the return of 417 evacuated individuals. Junta President Juanma Moreno also urged calm regarding seismic aftershocks in Granada.

The President of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Juanma Moreno, has announced the stabilization of the forest fire that began on August 6th in the Raboconejo area of Niebla (Huelva). Following this development, the return of the 417 people who had been evacuated will be proposed.
Speaking from the Advanced Command Post (PMA), Moreno indicated that the fire has affected a perimeter of 210 kilometers. He emphasized the need for caution due to remaining hot spots, although favorable weather conditions are expected. He highlighted the serenity, professionalism, cooperation, and coordination of the intervening teams, stating, "Together we are stronger."
The fire, deemed significant, has been downgraded from Operational Situation 2 Level 2 to Level 1 of the Special Civil Protection Plan for Forest Fire Emergencies. Consequently, elements of the Military Emergencies Unit (UME) will begin their withdrawal on Sunday.
Furthermore, Juanma Moreno also addressed seismic activity in Granada, stating that aftershocks are likely to continue following the initial magnitude 5 earthquake and a subsequent magnitude 3.1 tremor recorded in Armilla. He advised citizens to follow known safety procedures if they feel any tremors.
The Junta President warned that tremors and aftershocks are expected in the province of Granada in the coming days and weeks, urging the public to "be cautious" in this situation.
