Officers from the Almonte Local Police have identified parking permits that appear to be fake or have been tampered with for access or parking in designated areas of El Rocío. These passes were being used during the events of the Venida de la Virgen and the Rocío Chico.
The security force announced via social media that the forgery, manipulation, or improper use of these accreditations constitutes an illegal act with potential legal consequences. After detecting several of these fraudulent passes, officers have reinforced verification in the area.
Corresponding citations are being issued, and when appropriate, proceedings are forwarded to the competent authority due to the possibility of offenses related to document forgery. The Almonte Local Police stated that "fraudulent conduct that harms those who comply with the rules and use their passes legitimately will not be tolerated."
To obtain a legitimate parking pass for El Rocío during the Rocío Chico, or for the parking areas in Almonte on August 19th and 20th, interested individuals must apply for the accreditation through the website Mi charret. This accreditation is valid for the respective day and allows free parking in the designated areas in El Rocío and Almonte.
The accreditation is exclusively for access and use of parking zones and does not permit general vehicle circulation.
