A fire in a home on the central Barrionuevo Street in Almonte caused alarm during the early morning, though fortunately, no injuries were reported. The rapid and effective intervention of the Local Police was decisive in controlling the situation.
According to agents, the fire originated in an 'alpende,' an annexed structure typically used for storage. This situation raised an alert among residents in the area, due to the risk of the fire spreading to the main rooms of the house or to neighboring properties.
Units from the Local Police and the Civil Guard from the town were dispatched to the scene. Given the urgency and the risk, officers acted immediately, using available resources to begin extinguishing efforts and contain the advance of the flames until the arrival of units from the Provincial Fire Consortium.
The coordination between the security forces and the diligent action of the firefighters allowed the situation to be brought under control quickly, preventing serious structural damage. Police confirmed that all occupants of the home are in good health and did not require medical assistance.
