The circuit, which aims to establish itself as one of the most significant summer sporting events in the province, will take place in various locations along the Huelva coast. Its primary objective is to encourage swimming during the warmer months and showcase the area's privileged natural surroundings.
The competition kicked off last March in Palos de la Frontera with the IV Travesía Aguas de Palos de la Frontera-Mazagón. The second event is scheduled for June 20th in Cartaya, featuring the VI Travesía a Nado por la Convivencia y Cohesión Social del río Piedras (Swimming Crossing for Coexistence and Social Cohesion of the Piedras River).
During the event's presentation, the Deputy of Sports, Juan Daniel Romero, emphasized the commitment of both the federation and the participating municipalities to promote this initiative. For his part, the provincial delegate of the federation, Francisco Luque, encouraged enthusiasts to join, highlighting the ideal coastal conditions and climate for open water swimming.
Following the initial events in Palos and Cartaya, the calendar will continue through July and August with races in Moguer, La Redondela, Lepe, Ayamonte, Isla Cristina, another stop in Palos de la Frontera, and concluding in Punta Umbría. To be eligible for the final circuit standings, swimmers must compete in at least five of the nine events.
