The Ayamonte City Council has presented the Official Announcement Poster for the 2026 Patron Saint Festivals in honor of Ntra. Sra. de las Angustias, created by local painter Miguel Ángel Domínguez Gil, along with the official festival program.

The presentation event took place at the main entrance of the Town Hall, preceded by a street parade by the 'Los del Ruedo' band. Local authorities, representatives from the Regional Government of Andalusia, and the general public attended the event.
The poster, depicting a traditional scene in Plaza de la Laguna, was praised by Mayor Alberto Fernández, who highlighted that the artwork celebrates the town's history and festive spirit, based on extensive research of historical posters.
The artist, Miguel Domínguez, explained that his work draws inspiration from classic poster art and the collective memory of the festivals, incorporating elements of folklore and Ayamonte's ceramic tradition.
During the event, the Festival Magazine, edited with the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Huelva, was also unveiled. The program includes performances by Antonio José, Angelito El Blanco, and Mujeres por Sevillanas.
As a new feature, this year's program includes a supplement with the festivities from one hundred years ago (1926), allowing citizens to compare current celebrations with those of the past. The program retains dedicated children's days with affordable attractions and 'no-noise' hours, the 'Seniors' Day', and religious activities.
This year, the procession of the Virgen de las Angustias on September 8th coincides with the final day of the fairground, so the closing fireworks will be postponed until after the Patron Saint enters the Parish Church.
The Angustias Festivals, held from September 4th to 8th, maintain the remodeled fairground and improvements in asphalt and accessibility. The mayor emphasized the goal of making the festivals "bigger, more integrating, and more inclusive for everyone," working closely with the Patron Saint Brotherhood.
