The Mayor, Carmen Álvarez, accompanied by the municipal delegate for Infrastructure, David Cáceres, visited the Huerta de la Cruz Square this Wednesday to check the results of the renovation works carried out in this public space in the Barrio Alto.
The works included the renovation of sidewalks and roadways, pavement repair, improvement of parking, accessibility, and pedestrian routes, conditioning of rest and garden areas, and renewal of urban furniture and signage.
The Mayor highlighted that the action responds to a "historic resident demand" given the square's previous deterioration. "The executed works have transformed this square into a more modern, accessible, and functional space for the enjoyment of the neighborhood," she emphasized.
“"Huerta de la Cruz is another square added to the list of public spaces remodeled within the firm purpose of the local government to improve our neighborhoods."
This intervention is part of the municipal government's priority objective to recover and improve the town's public spaces, addressing the needs of the neighborhoods and contributing to enhancing citizens' quality of life.
