The National Police celebrated its annual award ceremony for decorations and distinctions in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. The event was attended by the mayor, Carmen Álvarez, and the municipal delegate for Citizen Security, Narciso Vital.
Joining the mayor at the presidential table were the chief inspector of the Sanlúcar Police Station, José Manuel Martín Salinero, and the president of the Court of Instance of Sanlúcar, Clara Arroyo.
The Cross of Police Merit was awarded to sub-inspector Jesús Ruiz; officers Jorge Pérez, Alejandro Fábregas, Miguel Gónzalez, and Benito Muñoz; National Police general corps official Antonio Roldán; and magistrate Sara Martín, head of Violence Against Women at the Sanlúcar Palace of Justice.
During her speech, Mayor Carmen Álvarez expressed her satisfaction in accompanying the National Police on this special day, highlighting their presence in the streets and neighborhoods and their profound vocation to help others in every service.
Álvarez emphasized that Sanlúcar deeply values this work, which requires professionalism, humanity, dedication, and commitment, congratulating the decorated officers for their police distinction.
The mayor made a special mention of magistrate Sara Martín, underscoring her work in the fight against gender violence and the police's crucial role in listening to, protecting, and accompanying women seeking help.
Finally, Carmen Álvarez encouraged all National Police officers to continue taking pride in their work, assuring them that Sanlúcar is also proud to have them.
