The municipal delegate for Health and Consumption, Carmen Pozo, has supervised the disinfection, disinsection, and deratization work being carried out in Las Palmeras, one of the most densely populated areas of Sanlúcar. These tasks are part of a comprehensive plan that responds to numerous citizen requests.
The current plan involves Aqualia and Agroteco, companies responsible for handling notifications from both the City Council and citizens. With the aim of extending these actions to all neighborhoods, Carmen Pozo announced an extraordinary reinforcement for the summer, through the tender of a minor contract to intensify the work during the summer season, when more incidents are reported.
The delegate clarified that the work is performed during hours that minimize inconvenience to citizens and traffic. She recalled the importance of urban pest control, including rats, mice, and various insect species such as cockroaches, for the protection of public health.
Carmen Pozo stated that Sanlúcar has never received as much attention for pest control as it is currently. These actions aim to contribute to a cleaner and healthier municipality, under the commitment of the local government presided over by Carmen Álvarez.
