The Ronda City Council has announced the creation of a new free parking lot in the Padre Jesús neighborhood. The facility will be located in La Galia, on a municipal plot situated between Camino Ancho and Juan Pablo II streets.
This project, already approved by the latest Local Government Board, will involve an investment of nearly 200,000 euros by the Consistory. The work will focus on the development and preparation of the land for use as a dissuasive parking area, thereby facilitating access to the rest of the city.
Mayor Mari Paz Fernández highlighted that this initiative improves mobility and advances the commitment to provide Ronda with a network of parking facilities, adding to other spaces already created such as those at Campo del Nene, UVA, and the Feria neighborhood. A future parking lot on Adif land next to the train station, with around 200 spaces, is also planned.
The new parking lot in Padre Jesús will offer one hundred spaces. The estimated execution period, once work begins, will be three months, and it is expected to generate employment for ten people.
