The Sanlúcar City Council, through the integrated water cycle concessionaire company, Aqualia, is currently renewing the sanitation network on a section of Ruiz de Somavía street. This action is a response to the advanced state of deterioration of the current pipe, which has suffered a collapse due to lack of maintenance over the last two decades and the exhaustion of its useful life.
The works, with an investment of 35,498 euros, focus on replacing the old asbestos-cement pipes with PVC ones. The intervention covers the section of Ruiz de Somavía closest to Banda Playa street and the well located at the intersection with de la Plata street.
Since the beginning of this municipal term, the local government has been working on renewing the city's sanitation networks. Similar actions have been carried out on Historiador Velázquez Gaztelu street, where a broader road remodeling is also planned for 2027; San Antonio street, with an investment of over 49,300 euros; in the coastal area between Bonanza and the Baluarte de San Salvador; and on Puerto street. Currently, improvements are also being made to the network at the intersection of San Nicolás street and Cabo Noval avenue.
The local government reaffirms its commitment to modernizing urban infrastructure and responding to the city's needs in this area. These works are part of the municipal effort to improve essential public services, with interventions aimed at directly enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Sanlúcar.
