Ronda is participating in the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, a key international tourism event, to reinforce its commitment to the British market.

The municipal company Turismo de Ronda, S. A., accompanied by the Councilor for Tourism, Ángel Martínez, and his professional team, is attending the World Travel Market (WTM) in London. This event brings together over 40,000 professionals, 6,000 exhibitors from 200 countries, and attracts 3,000 specialized media outlets.
The main objective is to consolidate the British market, considered a priority for the Ronda destination, with the aim of "strengthening the city's international promotion, encouraging overnight stays, and generating new opportunities for the local tourism sector." The participation is carried out in collaboration with the Junta de Andalucía and the Provincial Council of Málaga.
Ronda is present at the Turismo de Andalucía stand, sharing space with about fifty Andalusian companies and the eight provincial councils of the region. The city is promoting its offerings, highlighting the Puente Nuevo over the Tajo and the Camino del Desfiladero del Tajo, through 'street marketing' actions with screens at the Wall of Fame at the London Palladium and in Leicester Square.
“

"Ronda must be present where decisions are made about major international tourism markets. London is not just a showcase; it is a place to work alongside the Junta, the Provincial Council, and the professional sector to ensure that the knowledge and appeal that Ronda already possesses translate into more stays, more economic activity, and more employment opportunities in our city."

Ángel Martínez · Councilor for Tourism of Ronda
Martínez highlighted that Ronda benefits from the provincial trend: between January and September of this year, the province received 904,241 British hotel travelers, generating 4,496,347 overnight stays (increases of 3.6% and 3.1% respectively). Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport recorded 2,526,009 arrivals from the United Kingdom, up 4%. The British market holds the top international position in the province for both overnight stays and airport arrivals.
Regarding Ronda specifically, the United Kingdom remains the second international hotel market. From January to September, 11,942 British travelers and 24,480 overnight stays were recorded. "These figures indicate where we need to focus our efforts," stated the head of Turismo de Ronda, S. A., adding that "the response cannot be to reduce promotion, but to intensify it selectively in a market that continues to grow on the Costa del Sol and has an extraordinary connection with Málaga."
In 2025, the number of British travelers to Ronda was 18,372, representing 6.9% of the total, after a 31.4% growth compared to the previous year. Municipal records from the Ronda Tourist Office also show the destination's strong international character: of the 141,305 people assisted during 2025, 54.1% were foreign, with the United Kingdom among the main European nationalities.
