The environmental group 'Salvemos al chorlitejo patinegro' has publicly denounced the situation, demanding urgent measures from municipal authorities to ensure compliance with the law in this area of high ecological value.
Environmentalists lament that, despite informational signage and warnings, individuals lacking environmental awareness have accessed and camped on the dune, harming the ecosystem. Volunteers have documented people inside the dune and even camping there.
Concern is particularly high as this is the time of year when the Kentish Plover is guarding its chicks after hatching the few eggs that survived. The group points out that the large flow of people and the festive atmosphere have served as a "breeding ground" for habitual offenders to feel impunity.
It is reported that even the beach bar where the party was held had installed "no entry" signage, but this did not deter attendees, who continued to access the dune cordon and set up camps.
