The work will involve replacing the beams of the existing overpass above the railway to increase the vertical clearance of the railway infrastructure. This intervention is part of the development of the Railway Highway on the Algeciras-Zaragoza line promoted by ADIF.
The affected area will extend between kilometers 49+200 and 49+800 of the N-331, including the connection to the roundabout of junction 36 of the A-45 (Aguilar de la Frontera north-Montilla). Portable barriers will be installed to prevent vehicle passage during the works.
As a consequence of these works, access to the A-45 motorway from Montilla must be made via junction 27 (La Rambla-Montemayor-Montilla), as junction 36 will be inaccessible. The state administration has installed specific signage to inform users of the alternative routes.
Access for owners of adjacent plots and farms along the N-331 will be guaranteed at all times. Vehicles traveling south, before reaching the work zone, can make a U-turn at kilometer 49+150, where a turning area is available.
The Montilla City Council recommends that drivers take these modifications into account when planning their journeys, follow the installed signage, and use the established alternative routes throughout the construction period.
