The final resolution of the call for applications, managed by the Council's International Cooperation Service, will distribute the aid between investment projects in infrastructure and current expenses. The amounts granted to each entity range between €3,000 and €17,000.
The main objective of these grants is to support international cooperation actions promoted by NGOs and non-profit organizations. These initiatives aim to improve the living conditions of the target populations, contribute to sustainable development, and defend human rights in various regions worldwide.
The evaluation committee assessed the projects based on criteria such as the justification of the intervention, its relation to existing needs and the Sustainable Development Goals. Project objectives, expected results, adherence to geographical and sectoral priorities, beneficiary participation, sustainability, risk identification, the applicant entity's experience and its presence in the province, as well as gender equality, environmental protection, cultural diversity, institutional strengthening, and the defense of human rights were also considered.
The subsidized actions will take place in countries such as Guatemala, Bolivia, Rwanda, Western Sahara, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Togo, Kenya, Mexico, Senegal, Palestine, Morocco, Sierra Leone, Brazil, El Salvador, and Honduras, covering priority areas of international cooperation.
