On April 8, just three days after Easter Sunday, Chipiona became the focal point of Andalusian celebrations with the inauguration of the Moscatel Fair 2026. The fifth edition of this event was marked by the massive participation of residents and visitors, who filled the fairgrounds with color and joy.
“"Extraordinary atmosphere in the booths and fairgrounds with very high participation."
From midday, the atmosphere in the booths and throughout the fairgrounds was described as "extraordinary" by the City Council. Thousands of people from the provinces of Cádiz and Seville, as well as other regions of Spain, enjoyed this first major festive event of the year in Andalusia.
A fair that is here to stay and enjoys great popular support to break seasonality, create employment, and enjoy days of happiness.
The program included notable performances such as that of the group La Banda del Pelícano at the municipal booth, which entertained attendees. The humor of Paquita La Lebrijana, who toured the fairgrounds, and the performance by Pepe El Caja on Thursday night, which drew laughter from the audience, were also featured. The Araka booth was awarded first prize for its gastronomic creations using Moscatel de Chipiona.
The children's attractions area also saw a large number of young visitors, solidifying the fair as an event for all ages. The Moscatel Fair concluded this Sunday, and the Chipiona City Council is already looking to the future, hoping that by the next edition, the Compensation Board will have completed its work to provide a new venue on the Moscatel Boulevard.
