The plan, presented during a breakfast meeting with self-employed individuals, aims to provide a more robust support framework for this group. Key initiatives include fee bonuses, enhanced protection during periods of leave, and modifications to public procurement processes.
The proposals include direct bonuses on self-employment contributions during holiday periods, as well as benefits that cover not only income but also lost profits and business maintenance during convalescence. Additionally, the plan considers a 100% bonus and total exemption from contributions to guarantee maternity and paternity leave.
“"Many times, a small self-employed person is paying contributions as if they were a medium-sized company, which is absolutely unfair."
In the area of public procurement, Adelante Andalucía proposes a law that would oblige the Junta de Andalucía and local councils to prioritize contracting small businesses and self-employed individuals for certain services. An example given was the possibility of school canteen providers being small local businesses or professionals.
The party also advocates for adjusting contributions to the actual income of each self-employed worker, arguing that the current system does not always reflect their economic capacity. This plan is part of Adelante Andalucía's political strategy ahead of upcoming elections.
