The municipal plenary session of Chipiona supported this Tuesday, September 24, 2026, the Mayor's proposal to name the Road Safety Park in memory of José Antonio Neva Castro. The decision was unanimously approved by all municipal groups.
During the ordinary September session, the plenary also granted plenary commendations to members of the Chipiona Local Police. Additionally, the Gold Category Honorary Medal was awarded to Carlos Moisés Martínez Vidal, acting chief officer of the Local Police, in recognition of his professional career and years of service.
Regarding municipal personnel, the unanimous approval was given to the modification of articles in the collective agreement and agreements for the improvement of public employees of the City Council. Furthermore, the modification of the Strategic Subsidy Plan 2026-2029 was approved, which will allow the incorporation of aid for the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer's and Other Dementias-FARO of Chipiona and for AFANAS Sanlúcar, Chipiona, Trebujena and Rota.
In the urban planning sector, the extraordinary action project for the execution of a four-star camping resort and tourist camp in the area of Los Madroñales was approved. This agreement received the favorable vote of the councilors, with one councilor from the PSOE abstaining. Budgetary modification number 27/2026 was also approved, with the PP abstaining, and budgetary modification number 25/2026 related to Education, with the abstention of PP and VOX.
The Mayor's proposal for the Ciudad de Chipiona Awards 2027 also received the favorable vote of all groups, with the exception of VOX, which abstained.
