Chipiona hosts from today until next October 12th the solidarity exhibition ‘With the Heart in Watercolor’. The exhibition, held at the Sala Espacio Vacío in Casa Manolo-Peña El Chusco, gathers a total of 139 watercolors for charitable purposes. The proceeds will be donated to AFANAS.
This initiative runs in parallel with the ‘Creativity, Landscape, and Friendship’ Watercolor Workshops, taking place on October 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. During these workshops, various spots in Chipiona will become open-air stages for artistic creation.
The organization involves collectives such as Arte Kanary, the Andalusian Watercolorists Association, the Urban Sketchers groups of the Bay of Cádiz and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, in addition to the beneficiary entities AFANAS and the Parkinson’s Association ‘La Luz’.
The main event will take place on Saturday, October 3rd, at the Plaza del Molino, gathering a large number of participating artists. There will be live painting sessions, musical performances like that of Paqui La Caracola, and a solidarity bar whose proceeds will go to the Association of Relatives of Parkinson's Patients ‘La Luz’.
The program also includes a children's and youth workshop on October 3rd at 10:00 AM in the Plaza del Molino, aiming to introduce outdoor painting to young people. At 11:00 AM, a talk on watercolor will be given, and at 11:30 AM, the painting activity will commence, concluding at 1:00 PM.
Participants should bring their own materials: A3 drawing or watercolor paper, school watercolors or tempera paints, a cup, brushes, and colored pencils.
